A day-long workshop-conference for the human resource development department of BayWa AG, an agricultural service provider and supplier in Germany. Starting with a deep team reflection on the merits and challenges of being responsible for apprenticeship training, we then proceeded to discovering the solutions to the most urgent challenges. This was an event to re-connect the geographically diverse human resource people. A successful step for a demanding process ahead.

Recording of the citizen’s council in Dornbirn, Austria. The theme question was “How can we secure a quality of life in future?” While the hosts used Dynamic Facilitation as a method to explore the questions, my task was to generate a visual recording of key points! These included education, work, environment & community, future and sustainable lifestyles. The processes ended in producing a joint statement that will be presented to decision-makers.

How are we shaping the communities we live in and how are they shaping us?
How can we best engage body, mind, soul and spirit to take wise decisions in the face of uncertainty on individual and collective levels? How can we build on the experience and good practice that is taking place already in businesses and societies around the globe? What might be our local contribution in shaping our world in a way to be a great place to live for all and for future generations to come?
This and other questions will help us explore the theme of the 3rd European Salon: Dialogue and Leadership – Action Learning for Emerging Communities, January 2012, near Nürnberg!
As part of the hosting team, I joined the co-creative process of developing the theme, formulating the invitation and shaping the design.

The PIUS internet portal, a German networking organisation focussing on resource and energy efficient production, environmental and technical information sharing, networking and coordination celebrated their 10 year jubilee on May 18, 2011 at the KfW Bank in Frankfurt (Main). A World Cafe session, together with an Open Space, formed the interactive elements of the anniversary. The World Cafe was designed to connect the participants with each and provide a critical look towards the future issues as well as making space for ideas sharing and critical reflection.
A one day strategy meeting to discover new funding possibilities, areas of organisational improvement and people potential within the organisation. We started the day with an extended check-in on personal motivation followed by a World Cafe with an action point harvesting. After lunch we entered a Pro Action Cafe phase to create actionable concepts for organisational and funding development. Overall, a compact day with an amazing atmosphere, laughter and creative ideas.
